A campus center for inclusion and belonging
One of William & Mary’s core values is belonging.
The university erected Hearth: Memorial to the Enslaved as a distinguished landmark of inclusion and a local hub for community building. The memorial is designed to resemble a fireplace and features the names of people who are known to have been enslaved by the university.
