will be our host as three Batten School & VIMS graduate students give 5-minute fast-talks and present posters on the important research they are conducting. This event is free, open to the public, and registration is not required!

Candlelight Ceremony
Graduating students participate in this tradition by standing together as a graduating class in the Wren Yard. Guests are welcome to attend, but will be directed to a guest viewing area behind the students. Please note there is no seating for this event.

Lavender Celebration
Lavender, once a symbol of stigma, has been reclaimed as a mark of pride within the LGBTQ+ community. This celebration draws on that pride to recognize all graduating students.
