Liberal leave authorized this afternoon
A storm is bringing heavy rainfall and high winds to the Hampton Roads area this afternoon, with wind gusts expected to reach nearly 50 mph.
Several local K-12 school districts are sending students home early. While the university will remain open, non-essential employees may use liberal leave from their available balances without receiving prior approval. However, they must provide appropriate notification to their supervisors.
Please continue to monitor the weather and take appropriate steps to remain safe.
