Darius McCallum '27 | Pursuing Coastal & Marine Science at William & Mary

With a fondness for fish from the age of two, Darius McCallum '27 has been pursuing marine science since he was a child. He attended the Virginia Institute of Marine Science Estuaries Camp in seventh grade. The camp fueled his passion and exposed him to a path to pursue his career aspirations. As a scholarship recipient, Darius attends William & Mary and is hoping to major in the new coastal & marine science major at the Batten School & VIMS. His scholarship is affording him the opportunity to conduct research across campus including the Institute of Integrative Conservation and VIMS. Thanks to the $50 million scholarship gift establishing the R.
