The university’s Williamsburg campus will delay opening until 11 a.m. on Thursday, January 23, 2025. There will be no classes or university events before 11 a.m. Dining operations will be modified. To check for updates to dining services visit the W&M Dining website at https://dining.wm.edu/
Essential employees should consult with their supervisors regarding reporting time. Non-essential employees should not be in their offices or on campus earlier than 11 a.m., and teleworking is not required during the period of delay. Please reach out to your supervisor regarding telework or the use of leave in the afternoon.
Temperatures today and tomorrow are forecasted to be well below freezing, so please use caution as you navigate campus or traverse local roadways. Facilities Management teams have done great work clearing and treating campus pathways and parking lots. Still, it will be important for everyone to use caution as there may be some areas that remain slick and icy. To ensure the safety of all, access to buildings will be restricted in the morning as Facilities Management employees address potential hazards.
As always, please stay safe and take the necessary precautions.
