W&M Board of Visitors to Meet
The William & Mary Board of Visitors (“the Board”) will meet on the William & Mary campus in Williamsburg on September 25-27. The purpose of the meeting is to conduct regular business of the Board.
On Wednesday Sept. 25, committee meetings will begin at 1:30 p.m., in the boardroom of the William & Mary School of Education, located at 301 Monticello Avenue, with meetings set to conclude at 5 p.m. At 6:30 p.m., the Board will attend a dinner with the Rector at a private residence located at 104 Ridings Cove, Williamsburg, Va.
On Thursday Sept. 26, committee meetings will resume at 8:30 a.m., simultaneously in the Matoaka Woods and Dogwood Rooms of the W&M School of Education. At noon, the full Board will meet for a working lunch to discuss business related to Richard Bland College. Meetings will conclude for the day at 4:30 p.m. At approximately 5:30 p.m., the Board will meet in the Blue Room of the Sir Christopher Wren Building, located at 111 Jamestown Rd. for the recitation of the Board pledge, pinning of new members and annual member photo. At 6:30 p.m., the Board will attend a reception in the Wren Portico, to be immediately followed by a dinner for retired board members in the Great Hall of the Sir Christopher Wren Building.
On Friday Sept. 27, the full Board will meet at 9 a.m. in the Matoaka Woods Room of the W&M School of Education. The meeting will conclude for the day at 11 a.m. A detailed schedule is available on the Board website.
Full meetings of the Board will be held in the Matoaka Woods Room of the School of Education on Thursday and Friday. The meetings are open to the public but seating is limited. Because of the space limitations, the meetings of the full Board will also be live streamed on the Board of Visitors webpage at www.wm.edu/bovmeeting.
All times are approximate, and the Board reserves the right to adjust its schedule as necessary. The meeting is open to the public, but there will be no opportunity for public comment.
