Update on Student Injured in Accident on Richmond Road

Vice President for Student Affairs Ginger Ambler sent the following message to the campus community on Nov. 11, 2023. – Ed.

Dear W&M Community,

Thank you for your many expressions of care and concern for our student, Rosemary Raynal, who was struck by a vehicle on Richmond Road just over two weeks ago. Rosemary is now in a trauma rehab unit at Wake Medical, near where her family lives in North Carolina. Her parents tell us she is receiving great care there for a brain injury. Rosemary has a long road of recovery ahead, but she and her family are hopeful about her progress and healing and taking it one day at a time. Rosemary says she misses W&M — and her family appreciates having the strong support of the campus community.

Cards and expressions of support for Rosemary are welcome and best sent to her home address. Her parents, Charles and Ann Brooke Raynal, will be sure she receives them.

Our Tribe family understands what it means to lift up and care for one another in difficult times. I know you join me in sending our warmest healing wishes to Rosemary as she recovers from her injuries.

Sincerely,

Ginger Ambler
