W&M Board of Visitors to Hold Annual Retreat
The William & Mary Board of Visitors will hold a retreat July 23-25, 2024 in Gloucester Point, VA and Williamsburg VA. The purpose of the meeting is to serve as the annual planning and training retreat for members of the Board.
On Tuesday July 23 at 6:30 p.m., the Board will meet for dinner to welcome new members at Opus IX located at 5143 Main Street Williamsburg, VA in New Town.
On Wednesday July 24, the Board will convene at 8:30 a.m., in Hargis Library of Watermen’s Hall at the Virginia Institute of Marine Science (VIMS), located at 1370 Greate Road Gloucester Point. Meetings at that location are expected to end around 10:50 a.m. followed by a welcome event and Seafood Feast for lunch. At 2:30 pm, the Board will reconvene in the Ford Classroom at Swem Library on the main William & Mary campus and meetings at that location will conclude around 4:45 p.m. At 6:00 p.m., the Board will meet for a reception followed by a dinner, both to be held at the Alumni House located at 500 Richmond Road Williamsburg, VA.
On Thursday July 25, Board meetings will resume at 8:45 a.m. in the Ford Classroom at Swem Library. Those meetings, including a working lunch, are scheduled to conclude at 2:00 p.m. All times are approximate, and the Board reserves the right to adjust its schedule, as necessary. The meetings are open to the public, but there will be no opportunity for public comment.
